Boston – January 16, 2016 – Cambrian Innovation, a biotechnology company solving critical resource challenges for industry, today announced that Founder & CEO Matthew Silver has again been invited to speak at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. The meeting, now in its 47th year, will engage thousands of the world’s top leaders, from across business, government, international organizations, academia, and civil society, in discussions to shape the WEF’s global, regional, and industry agendas for the year to come.
“It is an honor to represent Cambrian Innovation at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, particularly under the theme of Responsive and Responsible Leadership,” said Matthew Silver. “At Cambrian, we believe that profitability and social and global responsibility can go hand in hand. I look forward to discussing how innovations in water technology are improving the future for both businesses across the globe and for our planet.”
Dr. Silver will join marine biologist Doug McCauley for a session titled “Worlds Underwater,” which will discuss the impact of rapid industrialization on aquatic ecosystems and how, while it cannot reverse damage already done, water technology can help us better manage our diminishing resources. The session, which takes place on Wednesday, January 18, will be introduced by Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and moderated by Usha Rao-Monari, CEO of Global Water Development Partners.
Matthew has also been asked to contribute to a session on advancing socio-economic stability and inclusiveness in Latin America. He will lead a group discussion on entrepreneurship driven by ingenuity and technology, and how it can help to overcome the region’s key challenges in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
